Description of book "Kingdom Come"

She should’ve expected it, she supposed, life had never been kind to her. Trapped in a castle for over seventeen years of her life to finally get out into the world she realized she knew nothing about; to find out that her whole life had been a lie. Things had been too calm lately. It was only a matter of time until shit turned south. Peering up at the towering monstrosity that landed on their airship, its eyes unflinchingly locked on her rather than the others. All she could do was feel a sense of resigned apathy. Shoulders slumping, she waited silently with her bow and arrow ready, to see just how life intended to fuck her over this time.

Eric Phillips, Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the story! They are updated every Friday! I'm thinking of changing it to Friday and Wednesday? What do you think? Would you as a reader prefer more updates or once a week?

Hoo boy, that was a long read, but I'm enjoying what I've seen so far.

For starters, Lia Marie is a compelling lead so far. She's kind, determined, adventurous, curious, but can also be stubborn and sassy on some occasions. She's flawed, but human and has the potential to be more engaging and strong and complex.

Her friends and the supporting cast are solid too. They're not defined by one trait, they have multiple layers, and we see different sides to them. Also, thanks for not making her family super toxic. Everyone has reasons, good and bad, for acting the way they are, and there's no telling who or if there's a villain in this.

The backstory, mystery, trust, and suspense are getting out of hand, but in a good way. I find the narratives gripping so far, and I'm glad we saw what Lia's life was like before she started this journey and got thrown into this 'mess.' I look forward to seeing where this goes from here...
