I drag myself towards his lifeless body as they take him to the ambulance. Clutching his hand, I whisper a silent prayer.
"Please, God, no...Don't let this happen....."
Tears begin to blur my vision and my legs give way as the ambulance drives off with wailing sirens, leaving me to the cold, wet, black night.
