Dry Bones And Words

Ring The Bell For Baal

roll away barrels that block our path
to cast down sewers as it were dung
we have not time for delay in our task
our modern world despise their young

in temper tantrums crush they do
unnoticed numbers their teeth chew

beating drums to fuel great wrath
upon the shoulders death be slung
when people turn against all birth
it's clear the final bells been rung

All the glass was intact in the old windows. The colors and the design could not be made out though for years of neglect and dirt. Also much of the leading seemed that it would fall to the ground if the dirt was to be removed. The narrow staircase that led up to this room had seen it's share of neglect also, it was a dangerous thing just to climb this far. And there was still one more set of stairs to make it all the way to the top of the steeple where the bell sits. But the former occupants cared not about this part of the building, there work was below.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
